LA Cinema will be showing ‘Blinded by the Light’ (2hr 10min, 12A) on Saturday 18th January. A heart-warming feel good drama comedy that will help to chase away any January blues. Set in 1987 England a teenager from an Asian family learns to live his life, understand his family and find his own voice through the music of Bruce Springsteen. This coming of age tale shows the escape route that music can provide for a suburban teenager.

Based on the memoirs of journalist Sarfraz Manzoor (and co-written by him), Manzoor has seen Springsteen in concert over 150 times! Tickets £5 adults, £2.50 children – can be purchased online, from the LA café and the Post Office. Doors, café and DVD library open at 7pm and the film show starts at 8pm.
